ASPIRE-Student Support Services writing support services:
- Meet with Margaret at any point in the writing process including how to begin, research, and writing your paper for any of your courses
- Appointments are 30 minutes in length and you can schedule one per day and two per week
- Appointments longer than 30 minutes are possible if there is no other student scheduled at that time
- In extenuating circumstances, a student can have two appointments/day or more than two/week
A few simple things to remember:
- If you’re not sure about the writing assignment, it is better to see your instructor before you come to see Margaret
- We work together from any point in the writing process - even before you begin writing if you’re stuck and just can’t get started
- Bring all information about the assignment with you
- Give yourself plenty of time to meet for writing assistance prior to due date of the assignment
- This is NOT an editing service; it is a facilitated writing process - meaning we talk, discuss, write, edit, change things
- Margaret does not edit writing sent via e-mail or dropped off at the office
