How and when do I apply for graduation?
You need to fill out a application of degree with the Registration and Records Office no later than 2 weeks after the start of the term in which you intend to graduate.
When are graduation tickets available?
Tickets are available to pick up at the University Bookstore in the Memorial Student Center three weeks before graduation. If you need tickets mailed to you please contact Sara Anger at 232-5169 or angers@uwstout.edu.
Where do I get my cap and gown?
Cap and gowns may be purchased in the UW-Stout Bookstore or online.
How many tickets do I get? Can I get more than 5?
Each candidate for graduation receives five (5) tickets. If you need more tickets ask friends if they will share, or there is a remote site available in the Sports & Fitness Center, Multipurpose Room to view the ceremony.
What college am I graduating in? What time slot is my college graduating (AM or PM)?
December commencement only has one ceremony at 9:30 a.m.
May commencement has two ceremonies, 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please click to view what time your college is graduating.

Where do I pay the graduation fee?
Once you apply for graduation and are accepted, the business office automatically charges the graduation fee to your account.
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Candidates should plan to arrive and assemble in the Johnson Fieldhouse no later than a half an hour prior to your scheduled ceremony.
When candidates arrive before their scheduled ceremony, they are instructed to line up according to colleges. Following the ceremony graduates, family and friends are invited to attend a reception in the MPR.
