ACCOMMODATIONS

ARRIVAL OF GRADUATES

  • Candidates should plan to arrive and assemble in the Johnson Fieldhouse no later than a half an hour prior to your scheduled ceremony.

DIPLOMA

  • Graduates will receive only a diploma cover during the ceremony.
  • Diplomas will be mailed to the graduate's permanent address after all graduation requirements have been met, which is approximately two (2) months after grades have been recorded.

GRADUATION BUFFET

  • Available in Great Hall of the Memorial Student Center following the ceremony.
  • You may make reservations online at shoppes.uwstout.edu or you can print and mail the order formMenu

LENGTH OF CEREMONY

  • Approximately an hour and a half.

MAP/PARKING

  • Parking is available in any UW-Stout parking lot
  • View campus map

PHOTOGRAPHS

  • A professional photographer will photograph each graduate as the diploma is received.
  • The firm will send a free color copy of the proof to each graduate in approximately 10 days.  The graduate can keep the proof copy whether or not an order is placed.
  • No standing at the front for photos during the ceremony.  Please remain seated during the ceremony.
  • Personal photos may be taken in Johnson Fieldhouse or at the reception following the ceremony.

RECEPTION

  • Immediately following the ceremony, in the Multipurpose Room, Room 50, on the lower level of the Sport and Fitness Center.
  • All graduates and guests are welcome.

RECESSIONAL

  • Graduates are asked to move immediately and directly to the Multipurpose Room to avoid congestion in the lobby.
  • Graduates and guests should make arrangements for a meeting place.

REMOTE SITE BROADCAST

  • There will be a closed circuit viewing of the ceremony provided in the Memorial Student Center - Grandview Terrace.
  • Grandview Terrace provides a comfortable space for those with small children or elderly guests.
  • No tickets are required for the remote site broadcast.

SEATING FOR GUESTS

  • Doors to the fieldhouse open at 8:45 a.m.
  • Tickets are required for all guests.
  • If a guest needs disability seating, please contact the head usher at the door the day of graduation or contact the commencement coordinator prior to December 17, 2009 to reserve one of these seats.
