Outreach

The Counseling Center is available to provide a variety of psycho-educational presentations created with college students in mind. Presentations are generally designed to be self-contained and last approximately one hour. We will come to classrooms, residence halls, student organizations or other venues as requested.

A list of the most commonly requested topics can be found under our Don’t Cancel That Class program. Even if you aren't an instructor or don’t need to cancel a class, you are always welcomed to request any of these presentations throughout the year.

If you have an idea for a topic area not listed, please call to talk with us about helping out. We will do our best to meet your needs.

Consultation

Professional counseling staff are also available for consultation with faculty, staff, and students regarding behavioral and mental health issues. This is especially encouraged for individuals concerned about unusual, problematic or potentially harmful behavior of others. If necessary, we can facilitate a connection for services at the Counseling Center or make a referral to other mental health professionals and agencies in the area.
