Application and Fee

  • All prospective students must complete a Graduate Application for Admission or Enrollment: [PDF] or UW System Online Application
  • A $56 non-refundable application fee is required. Checks payable to UW-Stout or by credit card (with on-line application)
  • Bachelor's degree transcripts: Submit an official transcript showing the degree awarded.  If that transcript shows fewer than 55 semester credits, submit all transcripts.
  • Graduate degree transcripts: Submit official transcripts for any graduate work attempted and/or completed.
  • The GRE is not an application requirement of UW-Stout degree programs.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Powerpoint, Internet searching, etc.  is a skill set required for success in graduate school.
  • Students seeking a post-baccalaureate non-degree add-on certification for Reading or School Counseling should visit the School of Education website for application and information.
  • Graduate students who wish to enroll in undergraduate coursework must complete the Undergraduate Reentry/Special Application [PDF] prior to registering for that coursework.
