Classified Employee of the Month Award
The council has recommended, and the Chancellor approved, the establishment of monthly recognitions, as well as an annual award for classified staff. Cash awards will be provided to all monthly winners and the annual cash award will be selected on a random basis from the 12 monthly award recipients that year. Chancellor Sorensen will host an annual reception honoring these classified employees.
Award Criteria
1. Nominees must be permanent classified staff members.
2. No self-nominations. Nominations can be made by a fellow employee, a student, or a supervisor.
3. Once nominated, an individual's nomination will remain active throughout the award year. Employees are eligible for multiple nominations. Nominations will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
4. Classified Advisory Council members are not eligible for awards.
5. These awards will recognize classified employees for distinguishing themselves by their commitment to excellence and to the university community.
This excellence can be demonstrated by outstanding performance in support of university goals, special projects, creative ideas, exceptional support of others, or an extraordinarily congenial attitude toward others.
How to Nominate
Fill out a nomination form and forward the completed nomination form to the Human Resources office. Nominations will be reviewed by the Classified Advisory Council and recommendations forwarded to the Chancellor for his review.
