The Checklist tool allows instructors to create a checklist within a
Learn@ UW-Stout (Desire2Learn) course shell, so students can visualize
what needs to be completed day to day, week to week, or by the course’s
end.

The Classlist tool allows instructors to view student profiles and
progress; print a classlist; enroll and unenroll guest instructors and
students; and change user roles all within a Learn@ UW-Stout
(Desire2Learn) course shell.

The Discussions Tool allows instructors to provide a setting for instructor-student and/or student-student communication. This tool is located on the Course Home page, where the instructor and students “post” messages on discussion topics.
The Dropbox tool allows instructors to create categories and folders within a Learn@ UW-Stout (Desire2Learn) course shell, where course assignments can be submitted (uploaded) by students and graded by the instructor(s), replacing the need for a face-to-face, mail, fax, or email assignment exchange.
The Grades tool allows instructors to establish a grade book within a
Learn@ UW-Stout (Desire2Learn) course shell to evaluate the performance
of the course’s students.
The Set Up Wizard in D2L allows instructors to influence how grades are calculated and displayed in the gradebook. This feature is located under the Grades link, where a list of settings can be “set.”

The Manage Groups tool allows instructors to create a workspace—discussion forum, dropbox folder(s), and locker—for students within a Learn@ UW-Stout (Desire2Learn) course shell, where established groups of students can organize and collaborate on course assignments and projects.
The Locker tool allows instructors to create a work space for students
within a Learn@ UW-Stout (Desire2Learn) course shell, where individual
and/or work groups can keep and access course files.
The Quizzes tool allows instructors to manage, categorize, and
administer all created, copied, and/or imported quizzes within a Learn@
UW-Stout course shell in addition to having the ability to grade
quizzes, and provide feedback.
The Schedule tool allows instructors to create and monitor
course-related events (e.g., Checklist, Content, Discussions, Dropbox,
Grades, Quizzes, Surveys), and the personal events of the instructor(s)
and students affiliated with a particular Learn@ UW-Stout
(Desire2Learn) course shell.
The Surveys tool allows instructors to create and administer surveys and questionnaires within a Learn@ UW-Stout (Desire2Learn) course shell, and analyze the data collected from the administered instruments.
The Respondus Lockdown Browser allows instructors to control the academic integrity of their students while taking a quiz or exam in a Learn@ UW-Stout (Desire2Learn) course shell. The Browser controls the students’ ability to copy and print, access another URL, or use other applications when in a quiz or exam, if the Browser is employed.
