The Application Process

All prospective students must follow a two part application process: 

  1. General Graduate School application
  2. MSAP-specific application

Applications can be submitted simultaneously. Official undergraduate transcripts need only be submitted once to the Graduate School office.

Priority Deadline: March 2

tudents will only be admitted in the fall semester. Applications received after deadline will be accepted on a space allowable basis.

MSAP Application Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
  • GRE scores are preferred, but not required
  • Three letters of recommendation (one must be from a faculty member)
  • Evidence of undergraduate preparation in psychology
    • Minimum of 15 undergraduate psychology semester credits
    • Minimum of 5 semester credits in research methods
    • Minimum of 3 semester credits in statistics

MSAP Application Materials:

  • Writing sample which should be a:
    • Research paper or
    • Professional document
  • Statement of interest which should include:
    • Why you are interested in the MSAP program
    • How the MSAP aligns with your professional goals

Note: Deficiency in undergraduate course preparation does not preclude admission, but may require additional coursework to complete the degree program. Students who do not meet requirements may be accepted on a provisional basis.
