Two students studying together

Working closely with a small group of peers, students learn through each other and build lasting connections. Each year twelve students are admitted to the program, functioning as a cohort these students start together and proceed through courses together.  The program is full time for two years.

The program's on-campus clinic gives students the opportunity to work with a variety of families. Students work under direct supervision of faculty who are trained and credentialed as “Approved Supervisors” by the American Association of marriage and Family Therapy.

Students participate in a minimum of 500 client hours, with 100 of those hours supervised.

About half of these hours are completed on campus at the Clinical Services Center (CSC). The therapy rooms provided are equipped with one-way mirrors and audio-visual equipment which allow student therapists critical feedback. Remaining practicum hours are accumulated concurrently at a supervised off-campus site. Together the two sites provide a well rounded clinical experience.
