The Society of Automotive Engineers hosts a number of competitions to test young engineers. The BAJA series that we compete in is intended to give real world experience to our team in the areas of design, fabrication, problem solving, and writing technical reports. We are tasked with designing and building a single-seat all terrain vehicle. Once the vehicle is complete we take it to an international competition where it is judged against other vehicles not only from the United States but from around the world.
