Stout Adventures houses a large inventory of outdoor equipment available for rental. You can make any trip complete with one stop at Stout Adventures.
A University ID is required for students, and a drivers license is required of all community members. All reservations require pre-payment.
*Saturdays are available on the 2nd and 3rd Quarters Only.
Free GPS Rentals
Stout Adventures now has 9 different Garmin GPS units available for rental FREE of charge to Stout students only. This opportunity is a result of securing Student Tech Fee funding. There are 4 Vista handheld units, 2 Rhino units, 2 nuvi250 car units and 1 Forerunner 305 wrist-top training unit. Rentals are for a max of 7 days and 1 student ID is required for each GPS unit rented. A copy of the rental policies for GPS units can be viewed here.

Rental Policies

One daily rental is equal to 24 hours

There are no refunds on equipment not used due to personal conflict or bad weather.

The customer is solely responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting canoe(s) and kayak(s). Stout Adventures staff cannot provide assistance.

The customer is responsible for the equipment’s condition upon return and will pay all repairs, loss, cleaning and late fees assessed up on return and / or found during the inspection period. Each renter will be given the opportunity to personally examine the equipment to assure proper function and condition.

Cleaning and late fees will be charged at double the daily rate for each piece of equipment.

Equipment not returned during regular open hours will be charged an improper return fee.

It is the renter’s responsibility to verify boat registration regulations if transporting a Stout Adventures boat out of the State of Wisconsin.

Full payment must accompany all reservations.

For all equipment, call for availability.
Refund Policy
All Equipment Rental Reservation require full payment at the time the reservation is made. The following outlines the refund policy on equipment reservations.
- If canceled 2 weeks prior to reservation = Full Refund
- If canceled 1 week prior to reservation = 50% Refund
- If canceled within 72 hours of the reservation = No Refund
