Introduction
The University of Wisconsin-Stout provides and maintains multiple Web servers to aid its instructional, research and administrative activities and to enhance communication within the campus community and the online community worldwide.
Any officially recognized Stout unit, department, project, or program may publish Web sites containing administrative information on Stout’s Web servers, and individual faculty, academic staff, staff and students may publish academic support and personal information.
Publication on Stout Web servers implies the publisher’s agreement to abide by the UW-Stout Web Information Policy and these standards.
Purpose
Stout maintains Web servers for these purposes:
- To serve as an instructional resource in support of curriculum and learning.
- To aid in the research activities of the University.
- To provide information about the University to prospective and current students, alumni, parents, employers, business partners, and the general public.
- To provide a common point of access to networked resources for students, faculty, staff and other audiences.
- To enable members of the University community to publish scholarly information in a manner they deem appropriate.
